This is a superb escape where you can enjoy breathtaking scenery, fishing, or for the adventurous there are nearby beaches (including surf beaches), bushwalking trails, local wineries, horseback riding and a host of sightseeing options including historic Port Arthur, Richmond and Eaglehawk Neck.

You will find us conveniently located midway between these delightful options and Hobart itself – a mere forty minutes away – for those desiring a taste of city sights and sounds, which could include the Saturday Salamanca Market.  For interstate visitors we are a twenty-five minute scenic drive from the airport.

We are dog friendly, and can accommodate your “best friend” by prior arrangement.

The Carlton River B & B is different in design – apart from its unique location the building itself has a Mexican, Adobe style with extensive grounds, ample parking, outdoor balconies and sunny areas to relax and enjoy the superb views.  From the deck area at the waters edge watch the moods of the river, and enjoy the bird life.

Accommodation at Carlton River Bed & Breakfast consists of three double bedrooms one twin bedroom, and offers continental or full breakfast.  Other meals are available on request.
